What a Difference a Day Services Program Can Make!

When you attend our fundraising events or make a donation, it makes a world of difference to many seniors in Contra Costa County.

The Adult Day Services Network is a non-profit organization that assists seniors or their caregivers in finding a day program or other community service program that meets the needs of the senior. Adult day programs enhance the lives of people who may be isolated, have disabilities, memory loss (e.g. Alzheimer's or dementia), stroke survivors and many others, as well as provide respite care for families.

The programs located throughout Contra Costa County offer safe, dignified places for frail seniors to spend the day and may include transportation, activities and outings, creative arts, medication reminders, mild exercise, word and memory games, hot lunch and the chance to get out and meet other people. These types of activities can decrease the risk of premature nursing home placement.
